ANNOUNCING: the NINETEENTH ANNUAL
GLOVER PIONEER DAY CAMP
JUNE 29-JULY 3
“Hinman Settler Road-
Connecting the Past to the Future”
This year Pioneer Camp will be held from Monday, June 29 through Friday July 3. We will be participating in the Barton Fourth of July Parade on Saturday, July 4, but camper participation is optional. There will be a Parade Float Focus Group, especially for campers committed to being in the parade.
Thanks to the support of the Vermont Community Foundation and the Kingdom Fund, and the Town of Glover, we willcontinue our work on this historical hiking trail and our morning activities will revolve around the historic sites in the settlement along the trail. Guest speaker and oral history presenters will share information about the old church, old
cemeteries, sugaring and flora and fauna along the trail.
Each day will start at the Parker Settlement, located 3/4 mile from West Glover four corners, south on Parker Road. Check In at the Pottery by 8:30 am. Early birds are welcome any time after 8. Campers should bring a bag lunch. We will provide a simple breakfast, something hot with lunch and an afternoon snack after swimming, which will include Something Maple. Children can be picked up at the Pottery at 3 pm.
