Camp Program

This year “Glover Pioneer Camp Celebrates the 200th Anniversary of the West Glover Church” from Monday June 26 through Friday June 30, 8:30 am to 3pm at the original historical settlement for the Town of Glover, dating back to 1798.

We are located 3/4 mile from the West Glover four corners, south on Parker Road at 765 Parker Road. There is a reflective green 911 sign on the power pole at the bottom of the driveway.

Check in each day is by 8:30 am at the Pottery, first building on your left up the driveway. Early birds are welcome anytime after 8 am.

Campers should bring a bag lunch. We will provide a simple, nutritious breakfast, something hot with lunch, and an afternoon snack after swimming.

Campers will spend their mornings participating in a new activity each day including cooking, gardening, timber frame assembly, Glover history, and glazing pottery from previous camps.

We are happy to announce a new art tent that campers can visit in the mornings during drop off, fort building and other down times!

Campers can be picked up at the Pottery at 3 pm, Monday through Thursday. Please drop off and pick up your campers at the Pottery. There is plenty of parking on site.

On Friday, our campers will travel the route that was taken to move the West Glover Church from its original location at the Parker Settlement to its current location in West Glover. Please come celebrate with your campers at the West Glover church at 2 pm.  The event will feature a snack, work that was created throughout camp, the theater focus group’s performance of a historical play and a pottery sale of items made and glazed at camp over the years!

In the afternoon, all campers will participate in a chosen FOCUS GROUP.  All campers should choose from the following offerings: CARPENTRY, POTTERY, NORTHEASTERN VERMONT LAKE ECOLOGY, and PIONEER THEATER.

Choose your focus groups!
